Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) inaugurated it’s 128th Branch at Gafargaon in Mymensingh on Sunday. Bank’s managing director and CEO M Shahidul Islam formally inaugurated the Branch as Chief Guest.
Head of public relations Md Shamsuddoha Shimu presided over the ceremony. Gafargaon Municipality of Awami League president Md. Abdul Halim Manik was also present as special guest.
M Shahidul Islam Said, the banking sector is playing a significant role for the overall economic growth of the country. Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. achieved the client’s credibility due to contemporary and modern technology based services. He also said Shahjalal Islami Bank intends to more invest in Gafargaon area for the economic and business development.
He also said, the Bank will finance in the SME sector for the development and business expansion. The Bank is working to bring back all classes of people to take them under banking services.
Among others head of common services division of the Bank Md Mahbubur Rasheed, Mymensingh branch manager Md. Masum Basunia, Gafargaon Press Club president Ataur Rahman Mintu, Gafargaon former Mayor Alhaj Monzu Miah and local businessmen were also present in the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony included reciting from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil and Doa was held at the Branch premises.
