Separate incidents kill two in Ctg


Two people, including a housewife, were killed in separate incidents in Chattogram city on Friday, reports BSS. Housewife Jesmin Akter, 23, wife of Sazzad Hossain, allegedly committed suicide by taking poison in her residence in Munshi Pukurpar area under Panchliash thana in the city. Quoting the victim’s relatives, Jahirul Islam, inspector of Chattogram Medical College police outposts said Jesmin might have committed suicide by hanging herself with ceiling fan over a family feud.

She was rushed to the Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) early on Friday where the attending doctors declared her dead, CMCH police outpost sources said.

Meanwhile, a youth named Jashim Uddin, was stabbed to death by some unidentified miscreants in city’s Malipara area under Akbarshah thana at about 5:00 am.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) police outpost Alauddin Talukdar confirmed. Jashim was taken to CMCH where the attending doctors declared him dead after his admission.
