The Security Services Division of the Home Ministry on Tuesday signed ‘Annual Performance Agreement (APA)’ for 2019-20 with four organizations under its purview to inspire them to deliver “result oriented” activities at a ceremony at its conference room, reports BSS. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan witnessed the ceremony when Security Services Division secretary M Shahiduzzaman and heads of the four subordinate offices and organizations signed the APAs for 2019-2020 financial year.
The minister said that the government is committed to materialize Vision 2021 along with ensuring good governance in the country, adding, “With the signing of the APA, all organizations under the division will be effective, transparent and ensure proper use of resources.”
He said the government introduced the APA signing in 2014-15 financial year aimed at attaining the goal for their annual programmes. Asaduzzaman hoped the APAs will ensure the organizations’ accountability and bring dynamism in their work and urged them to chalk out appropriate work plans.
“The APA helps bring dynamism in the activities of the organizations related to the ministry,” he said.
The organizations are Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence, Narcotics Control Department, Passport and Immigration Department and Department of Prisons.
