SAAOL Heart Center, the pioneer of heart treatment without operation, has been working relentlessly to generate social awareness about the negative sides of consuming oily food.

Excessive use of oil in cooking food is the cause of so many diseases like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and even cancer. During Ramadan, the people in our country tend to consume more deep fried and oily food, which is extremely harmful for the body after long hours of fasting.

“Oil free Kitchen”, an associate organization of SAAOL heart center, is arranging oil free Iftar items for this month of Ramadan, encouraged from the overwhelming response from last year. The Ifar stall at Eskaton Garden Road, near Saaol Office, will serve more than 25 traditional Bengali Iftar items including chickpea (Chola), Piyaju, Potato Chop, Chicken Pakora, Beef Halim, different types of Kababs and Kacchi Biriyani.

Chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh and Ex- VC of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the month-long arrangement at its Eskaton Garden Road office recently.

Poet Mohon Raihan, Founder of SAAOL Heart Center Bangladesh was also present among other senior officials of the Company. He said, fasting during Ramadan can improve one’s health, but only if done in a proper manner. If not, it can cause more harm than good. What you eat, or choose not to eat, during Ramadan is very important for healthy living.

M Hamid, cultural personality; Professor Dr Salimullah Khan, prominent Writer and Researcher; Abdul Hakim Majumder, Joint Secretary of Defence Ministry; Mahbub Hossain, DIG, SB-Dhaka, Bangladesh Police and Abdulla-Al-Mamun, DIG-Dhaka Range, Bangladesh Police were also present at the program as special guests.
