Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar said Russia would extend cooperation to Bangladesh’s journey towards the digital transformation, reports BSS.
Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander I Ignatov gave the assurance of cooperation while he called on Mustafa Jabbar at his ministry office, said a press release on Thursday.
During the meeting, they discussed different bilateral issues and progress of the telecommunication sector of Bangladesh.
Highlighting different activities taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina towards building a “digital Bangladesh”, Jabbar said people of Bangladesh are now enjoying the benefits of digital revolution.
He said Russia has a scope to extend cooperation to Bangladesh in its journey towards the digital transformation as well as the development of telecommunication sector.
The minister also invited Russia to invest in Bangladesh taking the advantage of foreign investors’ friendly policy of the present government.
The Russian envoy lauded Bangladesh’s progress in all indexes of development such as telecom and digitization.
