‘Rural life to be better with growth in agriculture’

Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzaque on Saturday said the people of the rural areas will lead a prosperous life if the development of agriculture is done.

The economy of our villages still depends on agriculture. Most of the people of the country earn their livelihoods with agriculture. So this sector needs to be developed for the betterment of the countrymen, he said.

The minister came up with the assertion while speaking as the chief guest at a programme on a school premises in Gajaria in Munshiganj. Lawmaker of Munshiganj-3 Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das was also present at the programme as a special guest.

Abdur Razzaque said, “Once the agriculture sector is developed, the income of the rural people will be increased. Moreover, there will be an opportunity of huge employment in the villages.”

“The farmers-friendly government has put the maximum emphasize on agriculture sector. This sector is being mordanised day by day,” he added.

The minister also said, “We can’t forget villages. Villages are our roots. Everyone should work together to make their villages more developed.”

He also urged the students of the area to obey the advices of their parents and teachers. The future generation should be patriotic and helpful to others to build a developed Bangladesh, he added.
