BGB’s strong surveillance to prevent illegal infiltration in the south region bordering area including Jashore is going on. In some areas, BGB members has also been increased.

Among these borders are Jhenaidah's Maheshpur, Jashore and Satkhira. In the last two weeks, BGB has arrested 244 women, men and children  for alleged infiltration. There have been 18 separate cases in this regard.

Twenty-two people were arrested by the BGB during the infiltration through Jibonnagar border. The BGB has also detained 32 people during an illegal entrance through Benapole border area in Jashore last Sunday morning.

Earlier, the BGB arrested 54 women and children in the border. Two separate cases were filed at Benapole Port Police Station in this regard.

According to BGB sources said, the number of infiltration into Bangladesh has increased in the last two weeks due to illegal crossing of border from India. The five southern districts of India are bordered by southern like , Jhenaidah, Satkhira, Chuadanga, Meherpur and Kushtia.

Of these borders, infiltration was the highest in the Maheshpur and Benapole border.

Jhenidah and Chuadanga border high officials 58 BGB commanding officer Lt Col. Qamrul Ahsan said that in the last few days, 214 women , men and children have been arrested by the BGB.

Maheshpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rashedul Alam said that 18 cases were filed against the incident the BGB over the past two weeks for illegal entrance. They arrested 244 persons for illegal  infiltration and handed them over to the police station. Later The detainees were handed over to the court.

Benapole Port Police station officer in charge  Mamun Khan said that on Sunday morning, BGB members arrested 32 women, men and children for illegal entry from India and handed them over to the police station.

Earlier, fifty four  persons were arrested during the illegal entrance and handed over to the police station. Two separate cases have been filed against them.

Lt. Col. Quamrul Ahsan , commanding officer , 58 BGB battalion said that to prevent  infiltration of border points BGB members increased suddenly. Due to the lack of barbed wire at several points along the Maheshpur border, Yet the BGB is aware of the illegal entrance. BGB have been kept
