Rohingya drug dealer killed in ‘gunfight’

A suspected Rohingya drug dealer was killed in a reported gun battle with RAB on Teknaf Marine Drive road in Cox's Bazar on Thursday night.  RAB recovered 60 thousand 9 hundred and 15 pieces of Yaba, 2 guns and 5 round of cartridges from the scene. 

The deceased was identified as Abdul Nasser, 30, son Md. Zaker, resident of block 8 of Balukhali Rohingya camp in Ukhia.

RAB-15, CPP-2 Hoaikang Camp In charge Md. Shah Alam claimed that RAB set a checkpoint on the Montalia Puranpara area on the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marindrive road upon receiving news of drug trafficking. Some armed drug dealers opened fire at them. Then RAB also opened fire for self-defense. After a while, the miscreants fled away. 

Later, Abdul Nasser was rescued from the scene with bullet injury along with Yaba and arms. He was taken to Teknaf Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead. His body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
