As the Rohingya problem equates to a national crisis and is not a party issue, every political organisation bears the responsibility of pursuing a positive role in getting over the crisis, Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Mohammed Nasim said, reports BSS.

“Every political party must come forward in a body to solve the Rohingya issue. There is no scope to do politics centering the problem. Like-minded people belonging to BNP should realize the gravity of the problem instead of doing politics over it”, he said. Nasim made the remarks while addressing a signing ceremony of the movie ‘Orjon 71’ as the chief guest at Sagar Rooney auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity in the capital.

He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sheltered the Rohingyas on the humanitarian ground, adding: “But the evil forces have started hatching conspiracy over the issue. Do please help our premier to solve it as it is not a political issue.” Former Additional Inspector General of Police Md Abdur Rahim Khan presided over the function while Member of Parliament Aroma Dutta, Dhaka Range’s Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Habibur Rahman, Actress Moushumi and movie director Mirza Sakawat Hossain also addressed it.
