After wrapping up her Hindi film, ‘The Darling Wife’, Barshali Chatterjee has already started work on her next film. The film is already on the floors and was recently held at a farmhouse in Bakrahat. The Bengali movie is titled ‘Black Day’ and it combines sci-fi with thriller elements. Curiously, the story is by Joy Roy, who also plays the lead in the film. Joy is a stylist, who has to his credit quite a few Bengali films. After Joy wrote the story, he was approached by the director to play the film’s hero and he took it up. His experience in the film industry apparently helped him play the part. The film is about a certain day, which turns out to be a black day, though details of the movie have not been revealed it. The movie also stars Rittika Sen, who forayed into Tollywood with Aparna Sen's Arshinagar and followed it up with films like Villain, Shah Jahan Regency and others. The film is about a young man, who gets caught in a time warp. He gets killed on a certain day and again gets to start his day afresh. Did he get a whiff of what was going to happen and how does he rewind back in time? The film unravels the mystery. Rittika, on the other hand, plays a mysterious character with shades of grey. The movie also stars Rupanjana Maitra and Pujarini Ghosh, among others, in supporting roles. ‘Black Day’ will be shot in and around Kolkata.
