Removal of headmaster demanded in Nabinagar

Villagers of Rasullabad organized a demonstration procession and a protest meeting  in front of the school premises on Thursday,  for the removal  of Headmaster Kohinoor Begum and assistant teacher Razia Sultana of Southern Government Primary School, in Nabinagar Upazila on the charge of alleged corruption, irregularities and arbitrariness.

 On the other hand, students and protesters  demanded assistant teachers  Khandaker Muhibur Rahman and assistant teacher Rumana Begum’s transfer or deputation order to be cancelled and they should be reinstated  in their posts.

At that time, Khandaker Monir Hossain, Fazlul Huq, Badal Mia, Sulaiman Islam, Nasir Uddin, Aziz Rana, Managing Committee member Mosha Mia, ward member Abdul Qadir were also present.

In this regard, Babu Sanjit Pal, president of the managing committee said that if the transfer of assistant teacher Khandaker Muhibur Rahman and assistant teacher Rumana Begum occurred, the impating of education would be impeded and teaching standard would fall down. In this regard, headmaster Kohinoor Begum denied all the allegations against her.

In this connection, Upazila Primary Education Officer Abdul Awal said, a monitoring team led by district education officer was formed. And he will take the necessary action after the investigation is over
