Relief distributed to destitute people in Rangamati

Central unit of Parbatya Chattogram Nagorik Parishad (PNP), a Chittagong Hill Tracts based regional political party, distributed relief amongst the destitute people in the district town on Thursday.

On the first day, some 100 families of the Bengali and ethnic community at Lichubagan, Kathaltoli and Garjantoli in the district town were distributed with 5 kilogramof rice, 5 kilogram of potato and 500ml of edible oil.

A total of 500 ultra-poor households will be provided relief in the town as part of ongoing activity, said leaders of PNP.

Relief will be distributed at Hospital area, Public Health and Champaknagar area tomorrow (Friday).

Abu Bakar Siddique, assistant secretary of PNP, its vice-president Sabbir Ahmed, its finance secretary and journalist Mohammed Solyman, member Kazi Mohammed Jaloa and member Habib Azam operated the relief distribution along with their workers.
