Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has accorded a grand reception to two noted personalities for their contributions to the nation-building process.
The awardees are: Internationally reputed Fine Artist Valiant Freedom Fighter Shahabuddin Ahmed and Election Conducting Committee Co-chairman of Bangladesh Awami League and former Cabinet Secretary Kabir Bin Anwar.
RCC Mayor and Presidium Member of Bangladesh Awami League AHM Khairuzzaman Liton awarded the elite personalities through giving rapper, crest and honour-medal at a function held in the city bhaban's green plaza on Friday.
Earlier, the awardees placed wreaths at the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and graves of Shaheed AHM Kamaruzzaman and Jahanara Zaman in the city paying rich tributes to them.
