Rally in support of Kashmiri Muslims

Different Islamic political parties, including some of the allies of the BNP-Jamaat led 20 party alliance, staged demonstrations in the Baitul Mukarram national mosque area in the capital on Friday, in support of Kashmiri Muslims. Under the banner of ‘Sarbadalia Kashmir Sanghati Forum Bangladesh’ (All party Kashmir Solidarity Forum Bangladesh), they brought out a procession immediately after the Jum’a prayer on Friday. The procession paraded different roads in the mosque area, and later a rally was held at the north gate of the mosque. At the rally, the convener of the forum, Nur Hossain Kashemi, also the Nayeb-e-Amir of the central committee of Jamiat-e-Ulama Islam announced solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

It should be mentioned that Jamiat-e-Ulama Islam is one of the allies of BNP-Jamaat led 20-party alliance. Besides, Nur Hossain Kashemi is also the Dhaka city unit committee president of Hefajat-e-Islam Bangladesh. At the procession and rally, different types of banners and placards were seen in the hands of the participants. They termed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi a terrorist. Besides, they demanded stopping torture of Muslims.

The speakers at the rally said their hands of support to the Muslims in Kashmir will remain open always and they will remain prepared always though their movement. Moulana Abdur Rouf Yusufi, Nayeb-e-Amir of Jamiat-e-Ulama Islam, Moulana Mahfuj-il-Huq, secretary general of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, Ahmad Abdul Kader, Secretary General of Khelafat Majlish, Isa Shehedi, Amir of Islami Oikya Andolan, and Majibur Rahman Hamidi, Nayeb-e-Amir of Khelafat Andolan,among others, spoke at the rally.
