Rajbari district BMA president dies of Covid-19

Rajbari district unit president of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Dr. Md. Golam Mostafa (60) died of coronavirus (Innalillahi ... Rajyun). He was also district president of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) and District Bangabandhu Parishad.  

He died on Saturday (August 8) at around 8 pm. He is a resident of No. 1 Beradanga village in Rajbari town.

It is learned that on August 5, he gave a sample for corona test at Rajbari Sadar Hospital. On August 8, before the report of the Corona test reached Rajbari from Dhaka, his physical condition deteriorated at his home around 5:30 pm.

Abdullah Al Mamun, senior staff nurse in charge of the emergency department at Sadar Hospital, said he was admitted to Rajbari Sadar Hospital with pneumonia, fever, cough and shortness of breath. Dr. Shamim Ahsan, Department of Medicine and Cardiology, of the hospital first treated him. He died on the way to Faridpur Medical College Hospital at around 8 pm when his condition deteriorated further. After referring him from Rajbari Hospital, the report received from Dhaka in the Civil Surgeon's Office said that he was corona positive.
