Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) claimed to have arrested two alleged activists of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team conducting a overnight drive in city’s Mirpur area, reports BSS.
The arrestees were identified as Md Manzurul Islam, 26, of Sherpur and Abbus Uddin alias Shukkur Ali, 22, hailing from Cumilla.
A team of RAB-4 conducted the drive in KDC area under Pallabi Police Station of Mirpur last night and detained them, assistant director of RAB’s legal and media wing senior ASP Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan told BSS today.
The law enforcers also recovered leaflets abled making incitement among people, jihadi books, multimedia equipments for video making and dubbing, and mobile handsets from their possession, the official added.
