Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) chairman Dr. Mohammad Sadik on Friday said they are working independently and forwarding towards its vision. The PSC chairman came up with the comment while speaking at the lecture session of the ‘Central Executive Committee Monthly Meeting’ organised by the Institution of Diploma Engineers of Bangladesh (IDEB) at its seminar hall in the capital.

He further said that everyone should think of how to develop the condition of the root level of the society from everyone’s respective positions. “Our father of the nation has taught us to fight in any situation whatever the obstacle is. Facing all obstacle, we have to go forward to establish the Sonar Bangla,” the PSC chairman said.

Saying that the country is speeding forward on the highway of development, he added despite the World Bank’s non-cooperation in Padma Bridge construction, the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has almost completed the construction works of the country’s largest bridge.

“The day is not that far when the World Bank’s representatives will cross the Padma River using the Bridge, and it will be a huge success of the government,” he added. “Everyone will have to shun corruption for the sake of the development of the country. True development will not be possible if corruption exists in the society,” Dr. Sadik added.

IDEB General secretary Shamsur Rahman said that engineers have been working for the development of the country with their expertise in various sectors. Mentioning a new invention about a motorbike, IDEB vice president AKM Abdul Motelab said, “If you do not use a helmet in this motorbike, you will not be able to drive it.”
