President’s 7-day Kishoreganj visit begins today

President Md. Abdul Hamid is set to visit his ancestral district for seven days from today (Wednesday). He will visit Tarail, Kishoreanj Sadar, Mithamoin, Itna and Austagram upazilas till October 15. He is expected to reach Tarail upazila at 2:30pm by helicopter. Next he will inaugurate ‘Independent 1971 Monument’ and address a public meeting on the premises of Tarail Muktijuddha Govt. Degree College. Later, he will go to Kishoreganj Sadar upazila.

On October 10, President Abdul Hamid will attend a reception programme organised by Kishoreganj Bar Association. He will inaugurate the President Md. Abdul Hamid Multistoried Building. Later, he will visit Shyamsundar Ziur Akhra and join an opinion exchange meeting with elite persons at Kishoreganj Circuit House.

On October 11, he will go to Mithamoin upazila and attend the reception programme on the premises of Muktijoddha Abdul Hoque Govt. College. He will also attend a meeting with local people at Zila Parishad auditorium. On October 12, Abdul Hamid will visit Itna-Mithamoin-Austagram connection road and attend a meeting with local people at Zila Parishad auditorium. He will also distribute stipend of President Abdul Hamid Foundation among the students.

On October 13, he will attend a reception programme on the ground of President Abdul Hamid Govt. College at Itna upazila. He will also attend a meeting with local people at President Abdul Hamid Auditorium. On October 14, he will visit the development projects at Itna upazila. Later, he will go to Austagram upazila. He will address a public meeting there. He will also attend a meeting with local people at President Abdul Hamid Auditorium.

On October 15, the President will visit development projects at Austagram upazila. He is expected to return to Dhaka in the afternoon on that day.
