Police recovered bodies of a 3-year old girl and a pregnant woman from Noakhali Sadar upazila on Saturday.
The incident took place at the village Kazir Chor under Undarchor union in the district on Saturday. Police detained the father-in-law Aiyub Ali for interrogation over the incident.
The 3-year-old child Lamiya was the daughter of 24-year-old pregnant woman Farhana Akhter Panna.
The deceased family claimed that this incident had occurred over family feud. Farhana Akhter Panna, 24, daughter of Abul Kalam, hailed from Shulontokia village under Kaladorap union got married with Md Sumon, 32, son of Aiyub Ali, hailed from village Kazir Chor under Undarchor Union in the Noakhali district. After marriage, Panna was tortured by father-in-laws house.
