Poor family gets house through UNO’s initiative

Jannatul Ferdousi, a poor housewife from Narayanpur village under Nabinagar upazila is Brahmanbaria, use to live with her husband Sultan Mia, two sons and two daughters in a house at Rupsadi village in nearby Bancharampur upazila.

She is spending her day with her husband's little income. Her husband has only one and a half-decimal of land at Narayanpur village.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Masum has become the only light of this disadvantage family. After hearing the news of poor family and observing their real picture, the UNO has taken the initiative to build a house for the family on that piece of land.

A social organisation named Saralpath Foundation provided Tk 1, 30,000 to the the poor family in this regard following request of the UNO. With this money, they built a semi-paka tin shed house with two rooms, solar panel and tube well facilities.  On behalf of 'Saralpath Foundation', UNO Mohammad Masum handed over Tk 60, 000 to this family.

Project Officer of Nabinagar upazila Mijanur rahman, Secondary Education Officer Mokarram Hossain, Assistant Headmaster of Nabinagar Govt High School Mohammad Wazed Ullah Jashim, and President of Nabinagar Press Club were also present at the time.
