Barber Shefali Rani of the district’s Dogna village, whose struggling life featured media reports, has got four decimals of land and Taka three lakh to end her extreme poverty, reports BSS. On behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Enamur Rahman handed over the land document and a cheque for the amount to Shefali on Tuesday.
Shefali Rani expressed her gratitude to the Prime Minister for giving her the land and the money for constructing a house. The premier asked for providing assistance for Shefali after media reports drew her attention to the struggling life of the female barber.
