Following the pandemic situation and global unrest it is important to live an economic (cost cutting) life. Apart from criticizing, everyone should come forward to spend less and be frugal.

People used to go backwards while criticizing because of the mentality of their thinking. It has to be changed. Everyone should be active in building a better country.

Planning Minister M. A. Mannan said these things at the inauguration of digital audit management software of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) office held at a city hotel on Wednesday.

He said the CAG office is constitutionally mandated to prevent wastage of public funds and see that it is used frugally. Bangladesh’s position in cyber security and digitalization is quite good in the world. Digital audit management software will be very helpful in audit monitoring of government ministries/departments/department executives in preventing wastage and practicing frugality in the use of public funds.”

Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary Mohammad Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury as special guest emphasized on ensuring the security and sustainability of the software. Finance Ministry’s Finance Department Senior Secretary Fatima Yasmin said in her speech that ibus++ and other accounting software used by other departments will increase the effectiveness of this software if it is interfaced with it.

Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury presided over the event. He said that digital audit management software will be helpful in realizing Bangabandhu’s dream and creating digital Bangladesh where service providers and audit departments and users and executives will be linked. Through this, ministries, departments and offices can monitor the number of objections, ongoing audits and material activities including objections.”
