PBI reveals mystery of Kishoreganj murder

The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) revealed the mystery of Kamal's murder case under Kuliarcharupazila in Kishoreganj and arrested one

The detainee was identified as Sumon Biswas, 30, son of late Sachindra Biswas from Hapania village of Kuliarcharupazila.

According to sources, Kamal Hossain, son of Siddique Ali Pathan of Khurumkhali village in Faridganjupazila of Chandpur district and Khokon Khan, son of late Hero Khan of Hapania village in Kuliarcharupazila of Kishoreganj district developed friendly relations with each other during their stay in Malaysia.

Their friendship at one stage took the form of family friendship between the two families.Khokon visited Kamal's house in Chandpur more than once. Khokon returned from Malaysia five years ago and continued to communicate with the Kamal.

Speaking of business at different times, Khokon borrowed around Tk 12 million from the deceased Kamal through the bank and from Kamal's family members.Later, Kamal came to the country and asked Khokon to return the money.

On September 3, 2020, Kamal was asked to come to Kuliarchar in Kishoreganj. When Kamal wanted to approach Khokon in Kuliyarchar that night, Khokon and his business partner Sumon Biswas along with some others from Morjal area of Narsingdi brought Kamal to the sluice gate in Faridpur area of Kuliyarcharupazila and brutally killed Kamal and dumped the body near the Brahmaputra river.

The next day, the Kuliyarchar police recovered the body and filed a case, which was transferred to PBI on October 6.

On October 18, Kamal's uncle Harun-or-Rashid contacted PBI investigating officer Md. Azad Hossain and identified him by looking at Kamal's picture. 

On October 19, PBI Inspector Azad Hossain, with the help of technology, conducted a raid and arrested Sumon Biswas, the business partner of Khokon. 

Sumon testified before in the court under section 164 and confessed to committing the crime. িPBI Police Super Shahadat Hossain said they are going to crack the mystery of six more cases soon.
