PAMEX 2020 - India’s iconic printing expo from Jan 6

All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) in association with Print-Packaging.com Pvt Ltd. (PPCPL) is going to organise PAMEX 2020, an International Exhibition on Printing and Allied Machinery Industry in India.

The 13th edition of the biennial show will be held from January 6-9, 2020 at Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Goregaon in Mumbai. The exhibition is expected to witness more than 400 exhibitors and 40,000 unique visitors from all over India and the neighboring countries, across the four days. This was announced at a press conference held at Bashundhara International Convention City (BICC) in Dhaka on Saturday. Jahirul Islam, General Secretary of Printers Association of Bangladesh, Prof. Kamal Chopra, Chairman, PAMEX spoke at the press conference. A large number of representatives of printing organisations were present at the press conference. Prof. Kamal Chopra said, over 400 stalls will be at the expo and most of them have already been booked, while Jahirul Islam said, about 50 entrepreneurs from Bangladesh will join the expo.

In reply to a query, he said, the demand of printing is changing and we are adopting the changes with the time in meeting the demand of the digital era. So, the demand for printing will not decrease.

Reducing wastes and raising production is the innovations of the modern printing technology.

The size of Bangladesh printing industry is of worth Tk 17,000 crore and it is growing steadily, said Jahirul Islam in reply to a query.

Apart from the traditional offset and post press technologies, PAMEX 2020 will showcase emerging technologies in various fields.

The fields include 3D, Robotics, RFID printing, multiwave LED technology, which can cure Conventional and LED UV inks making UV printing more green and convenient to adopt.

Besides, industrial design and packaging design software, inkjet B2 presses, packaging post press equipment in Rigid Box making and Paper bags will be showcased at the four-day event.

On the sidelines of PAMEX 2020, AIFMP will play host to World Print & Communication Forum (WPCF) conference. A conference on ‘Future Printing- Brainstorming with World Leaders’ will be held on January 8, 2020, it was said.

This event will see delegates from all over the world with speakers from Europe, North America, South America and Asia.

Another concurrent event is the National Awards for Excellence in Printing (NAEP). The celebrated awards attract printing and packaging experts from across the length and breadth of the country, casting the net deep and wide to unearth the industry’s finest. The awards also include the prestigious VirenChabbra Print Leadership Award. The Award has been instituted to honour Viren Chhabra’s legacy of a lifetime of support and accomplishments for AIFMP. This award recognizes Industry Veterans who have devoted their time and energy to further the printing Industry in the Country.
