Police arrested a man in possession of 1,950 yaba tablets from Uttara area in the city, reports BSS.
The detainee was identified as Mizanur Rahman, 35, son of Mohammad Lokman Hossain hailed from Rayerpur-Sadardi village of Faridpur district.
“Based on a secret information, a team of Uttara police conducted a drive and arrested Mizanur with the illegal drug from Sluice Gate area on Monday afternoon,” police sources said. Officer in-Charge (OC) of Uttara West Police Station Tapan Chandra Saha on Tuesday confirmed the incident to BSS. A case was filed in this connection under the Narcotics Control Act.
