“I started molasses business beside my secondary studies in 2001. Then, I started commercially nursery business in 2003. I did not need to watch back after taking consult from Abdul Awoual, Botanist and the standing Deputy Director of Tebunia Horticulture Centre at Ishwardi in Pabna,” said Dipak Kumer Ghosh.
He has managed to change his life through lucrative nursery business in Natore district.
Talking to the Bangladesh Post, he said, “Now, around 20 lacks growers been produced every year in my nursery from which I can earn around two crore.”
According to him, he is now able to create employments for many people. Many men and women are now working in his nursery field. They are earning well. Even many young men are engaging themselves into nursery business.
Going to on spot investigation at Chatnni Ponditgramm, Chatnni sluice gate, Paiker doul village under Natore Sadar upazila, this correspondent found that many men and women were working Dipak’s nursery field. Some are cleaning the bed and purring water in the sunny day too.
In 2003, Dipak Kumer Ghosh, a dweller of Bonbelgharia beside Natore district town, started producing growers of guava, lemon and some others breeds over only a piece of 10 Katha land with the cost of tk. 60-65 thousands. Dipak did not need to watch back after a year as he earned double money by selling the variety kind of breed.
After a year, he started a nursery business commercially named “Prokiti Nursery” taking over three Bighas land as lease. Now, Dipak’s “Prokiti Nursery” is working over 100 Bighas land in different areas.
Dipak has not changed only his own luck but also he prompted many poor and unemployed people to solvency ensuring regular employments in his nursery. Now, he is a millionaire. The produced breeds in his nursery are being delivered to the different corners of the country.
Resma Begum, a nursery labor said, “I can earn money around tk. 6 thousands per month besides doing other domestic works. Many women of our locality became solvent like me.”
Sirazul Islam Said, the labors of Diapk’s nursery earn Tk. from 8-10 thousand per month. Many men and women had been solvent working here. They will pass their times with no job for maximum if Dipak would not have started nursery business.
Abdul Awoual, Botanist and the standing Deputy Director of Tebunia Horticulture Centre under Iswwardi of Pabna said, “I gave him consult how to make nursery modernized and how to produce a healthy breeds and marketing.”
