Prof Dr Mashiur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of National University, said that all educational institutions need to practice freethinking policy in the campus.

“The students should be rejuvenated with the knowledge of science and technology catering to the global needs.”

“Imbued with the spirit of Bangabandhu and liberation war, the younger generation will build smart Bangladesh. All students should possess patriotism and humane values. They will pave the way for the country’s economic strides,” he added.

In his speech, he also emphasizes on the economic development of Bangladesh.

“Many say that Bangladesh will be Sri Lanka. But I would like to say in unequivocal terms that Bangladesh will remain Bangladesh. The country has got a national flag soaked with bloods of 30 lakh martyrs. It has accommodated over a million Rohingya strangers. Bangladesh will show the charter of economic freedom to the globe,” he said.

He was addressing a function marking golden jubilee of Fulbari Degree College in Kurigram on Thursday.
