All the postponed examinations, around 500 exams in last 10 months, under the national university (NU) will be completed by 2021.

The NU authorities will start these examinations from January 2021, while it will take four days to compete each test amid the pandemic.

However, the Ministry of Education has imposed several conditions to start the examination amid the coronavirus pandemic. The test centers have to be prepared in accordance with these conditions to conduct these examinations.

Many students could not take part in various important recruitment exams due to the suspension of the exams. They also demanded auto-promotion

In this regard, Education Minister Dipu Moni said that it is not possible to evaluate the final year NU students without exams because if the students are not properly assessed, then they may face difficulties in securing employment.

Meanwhile, the students are fearing up to two years of session jam due to the postponement of exams.

National University Exam Controller M Badruzzaman said, “Those examinations which have been postponed in last 10 months due to covid-19 will now be completed by next year.”

According to NU authorities, the exams which were postponed through notice will be taken earlier. Besides, professional examinations will also be taken. After completing the postponed examinations, other tests will be taken in phases.

The honors first year examination was supposed to be taken in last September. But these students did not take part in formal classes and even they did not fill their form. The National University authorities have also planned to conduct this exam by 2021.

The examination controller M Badruzzaman said that earlier four lakh candidates could have taken the exam in one day. Now, it will not be possible for more than one lakh candidates to take the test in one day due to strict health rules.

“For this reason, it will now take four days to conduct the previous one-day test. This, it will take four times to complete previous examinations,” he added.

The fourth year examination under NU was supposed to end in March 2020. But all the educational institutions have been closed on March 17.

Although exams of most of the subjects were taken, two to five subjects were stuck due to the epidemic. Students have been waiting since then to put an end of the test.

However, with the 4th year final examination, the postponed examinations will be started from January 16.

Though all the examinations of the final year were not completed, the National University authorities gave the opportunity to the students to apply for participating in 43rd BCS examination.

Recently, National University also issued a notification to fill the form of BBA (Professional) 4th year 8th semester. The test is also expected to be held in January. The university has issued a notice to fill up the form for the fourth year of BSC in Computer Science and Engineering.

The National University degree pass course second year and third year and Masters final exams were supposed to be held in April. These tests were also postponed due to corona.
