GM Rakibul Islam, Assistant Professor of Department of Educational Administration in Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) has been selected for prestigious Acumen Fellowship Program 2020 which is a year-long intensive leadership development program and it is offered for emerging leaders who are building solutions to tackle problems around poverty and social justice worldwide.
Assistant Professor, G M Rakibul Islam is currently working to develop future leaders and managers for the education sectors in Bangladesh and he is the only University teacher to be selected for this fellowship program among 23 selected fellows from Bangladesh who represent diverse cultural, geographic and socioeconomic backgrounds and work in multiple sectors with the commitment to end poverty and injustice in their community through their work. Total of 230 potential applicants, candidates were assessed through a holistic 3-stage application process that included written applications, video submissions and a final selection conference.
From them 42 shortlisted candidates were invited to the selection Conference where 38 distinguished panellists from diverse sectors assessed the candidates through group activities and in-depth interviews and 23 applicants were finally selected for prestigious fellowship program.
The vision of this Fellowship program is to build the capacity of change makers and strengthen their community to positively transform society.
