National Girl Child Day observed in Bhola

The National Girl Child Day-2023 was celebrated in Bhola district on Saturday with a view to developing girl children as worthy citizens for building a prosperous Bangladesh.

The National Daughters Day is observed every year in the country on September 30 to show the importance of daughters. 

This year's theme of the day is "Investment Priority, Daughter's Rights" (Biniyogey Ogradhikar, Konya Shishur Odhikar).

Marking the day, the district administration and Department of Women Affairs jointly organized the discussing and devising ways and means on how to ensure equal rights to the Girls' child.

On the occasion of the day, a discussion was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office this morning. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Tamim Al Yamin addressed the function as the chief guest with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Alamgir Hussain in the chair.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Sabaykunnahar, Additional District Superintendent of Police Ripon Chandra Sarkar, Deputy Director of District Social Services Department Nazrul Islam, District Information Officer Md Nurul Amin, District Child Affairs Officer Md 

Akhtar Hossain, Journalist Hasnain Ahmed Munna, among others, also spoke.

The officials of various government departments, leaders of registered women's associations, students of educational institutions, members of youth clubs and parents, among others, were present.
