The government has taken massive initiative to bring country's all people under the coronavirus vaccination and make the programme a success.
Facing all the challenges the authorities concerned are sending vaccine to every district and took several programmes to bring the people under vaccine registration.
Measures have also been taken to get registered the persons who are willing to take vaccine first. They can complete their registration process at the union level office or using apps in their mobile.
Meanwhile, the government has also decided to use its information technology experts in every district to get registered those who are not familiar with apps or internet use.
If everything goes well, mass vaccination will start on February 7 across the country. For those who are unable to register online, the Department of Health and the Ministry of ICT will jointly assist them. In this case, the health department will complete the registration process with the help of the staff of the local ICT office.
Director General of the Department of Health Prof ABM Khurshid Alam earlier in a programme said, "The coronavirus vaccine will reach all parts of the country by this week. The ICT Ministry has told us that the app will be available on mobile from February 4. The app will be given in Google Play Store".
On the other hand, booths have already been set up at every district vaccination center. Training of vaccinators and volunteers is also in the final stages.
According to health department sources, the department will have a final meeting with the focal persons of all the districts and upazilas before starting the vaccination programme. Based on their feedback if the authority finds any more problem they will immediately solve that to ensure safe and fastest vaccination.
Before starting the mass vaccination programme, it will be announced by the responsible persons in all the specific areas. After completion of registration of 100 people, a specific date will be finalised to vaccinate them. Those 100 people will get vaccine on that day.
On January 27, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the coronavirus vaccination programme at Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka. Later, the online vaccine platform's web application (www.surokkha.gov.bd) opened to a limited scale for completing vaccine registration.
