A moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 magnitude in the Richter Scale jolted different parts of the country including Sylhet city at 3.22pm on Friday.
“The epicenter of the tremor was located at Arunachal state of India, 499 kilometers North-East of Dhaka,” Nizam Uddin, a meteorologist at Dhaka Met office said.
