Miscreants loot two houses after doping 11 people

Miscreants looted money and jewellery, making 11 members of two families unconscious by mixing anaesthetics in the food at Daganbhuiyan in Feni. The incident took place at Yakubpur village of the upazila on Monday night.

According to police and local sources, the miscreants mixed anaesthetics with food in the kitchen of Juba League leader Sohail and expatriate Jahangir Hossain in Yakubpur village on Monday night. Abdul Haque's daughter Lipi (35), Jahangir Alam's wife Jannat (27), Fakhrul Islam's son Tanjidul Islam (5), Tajul Islam's son Ajmain (10), Khaleda (35) and Lamisha (8), Jasmine Akhter (35), Sheikh Farid (45), Jabed Alam (23), Fahmida Akhter (28), Rahelna Akhter (28), wife of Mohammad Sohail, were among the family members who ate the food at night. 

In the morning, other people of the house rescued the victims and admitted them to Daganbhuiyan Upazila Health Complex. The hospital's residential medical officer said. Firoza Begum said, looking at the condition of the victims, it seems that the miscreants had mixed something poisonous with the food.

Juba League leader Mohammad Sohail said the miscreants stole Tk 120,000 in cash from his house, five gold rings, four necklaces, two pairs of earrings and Tk 35,000 in cash from Jahangir's residence. 

Daganbhuna Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Aslam Sikder confirmed the incident and said police were working to find out the miscreants.
