The 40th anniversary celebration of popular Bangladeshi band Miles was concluded through their Australia concert. Miles performed 28 concerts in the United States, Canada and Australia. Of these, 18 were held in the United States, 7 in Canada and 3 in Australia. This is the first time any band in Bangladesh has completed a foreign tour on such a big scale.
The band announced the tour this year at a press conference on January 17th. Miles' international tour began in the US, followed by Canada and was concluded in Australia.
Miles has been actively singing for 40 years. Besides, they have 11 song albums. Miles also released 4 compilation albums. Of these, two were from India and two were from the United States. Miles performed the first show in the United States as a Bangladeshi band in 1996. There Miles participated in a solo concert. Even though the band started its journey in the year 1979, the year 1982 was quite significant for Miles. That was when Miles appeared in front of the general audience for the first time.
Miles’ first Bangla album was ‘Protisruti’ released in 1991. Before that they released two English language albums called ‘Miles’ and ‘A Step Father’. Some of their popular songs are ‘Chand Tara Shurjo’, ‘Prothom Premer Moto’, ‘Gunjon Shuni’, ‘Shey Kon Dorodiya’, ‘Firoye Dao’, Dhiki Dhiki’, ‘Pahari Meye’, ‘Neela’, ‘Ke Jadu’, ‘Kotokal Khujbo Tomay’, ‘Hridoyhina’, ‘Shopnobhongo’, ‘Jala Jala’, ‘Shesh Thikana’, ‘Piyashi Mon’, ‘Bolbo Na Tomake’, ‘Jatiyo Shongiter Ditio Line’, ‘Priyotoma Megh’, etc.
