Marketing Day to create trade opportunities

Bangladesh Marketing Day (BMD) – will be observed on Friday with a vow to connect people in marketing domain including academicians, professionals and graduates to create wide range of opportunities.Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun will inaugurate the celebration at Teacher and Student Centre (TSC) at Dhaka University where around ten thousands of marketing graduates and practitioners are expected to attend.Organisers from Marketer Institute Bangladesh (MIB) detailed about the celebration at a press conference at Senate Bhaban at Dhaka University on Wednesday, said a press release.Jagannath University Vice Chancellor and BMD celebration committee chief Prof Dr.Mijanur Rahman and member secretary and Marktale Bangladesh Managing Director Dr.Shariful Islam Dulu were present at the briefing.The day will be observed for second consecutive year on second weekend of July to bring opportunities of knowledge sharing on marketing profession, organizers said. Organizers said the celebration will began on Thursday as the marketing department of all graduate schools across the country will observe the day with the theme – Consumer First. There will be held different sessions focusing on latest trends of marketing, marketing in digital age, art of consumer engagement, approach of retail and marketing for sustainability. Jagannath University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Mijanur Rahman said the day becomes a big occasion to celebrate the excellence of marketing tighter. “We are happy to organise the day for second consecutive term together with marketing department of educational institutes and corporate offices. Hope, the celebration will strengthens bondage among learners and practitioners in field of marketing,” added Prof Dr. Mijanur Rahman. Organizing committee Member Secretary Dr. Shariful Islam Dulu said there are 4.5 million peoples are working in this profession in different positions and contributing to the national economy.   “We want to connect all stakeholders in marketing arena across the country and sharking knowledge on professional soft skills though Marketer Institute Bangladesh,”Dr. Shariful explained vision of the professional institute. Its may mention, Marketers' Institute, Bangladesh is a newly formed national platform for marketing professionals, academics and students.
