Marico Bangladesh has donated 40,000 pieces of their Mediker SafeLife hand sanitizers to UCEP Bangladesh, an NGO which provides second chance education to more than 15,000 out-of-school children from poor and underprivileged families.

After more than a year’s closure, schools are cautiously re-opening while covid incidence remains high. Through this initiative, Marico Bangladesh aims to promote essential hygiene practices and inculcate them among school children for their safety and protection.

The hand sanitizers were handed over by Saiful Alam, Director-Manufacturing and Christabel Randolph, Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs of Marico Bangladesh, to Abdul Karim, Executive Director, UCEP Bangladesh and former principal secretary, Prime Minister’s Office. Other senior officials and principals of UCEP schools were present.

At the handing over event, Marico and school officials also talked about the importance of clean hands to school children.

Speaking on the initiative, Ashish Goupal, Managing Director of Marico Bangladesh has said, “Children are the future, no matter their socioeconomic background and safeguarding their health, especially during these turbulent times, is a priority. As a responsible corporate dedicated to delivering inclusive growth, we are eager to do our part in the fight against Covid-19.”
