A youth was killed in a road accident at Birol upazila in Dinajpur district on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Md Hakim, son of Md Hanif of Damail area at the upazila.
A bus hit a bicycle on Dinajpur-Birol road around 7:30 am while overtaking another bus, leaving cycle rider Hakim critically injured.
Local people rescued him and rushed to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Birol Police Station officer-in-charge ATM Golam Rasul confirmed the matter.
