Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained a man with 22 lakh, 46 thousand Indian rupees and 3,000 dollars at Amrakhali checkpost area in Benapole on Monday evening. The detainee was identified as Mozammel Hossain (50) son of Abdur Rahim of Majdia village of Fatullah police station in Narayanganj.
BGB Amrakhali checkpost commander Naeb Subedar Shahin Alam confirmed the matter.
BGB sources said, on secret information BGB men detained Mozammel while he went to Dhaka from Benapole travelled with Saudia paribahan on Monday evening. Later BGB members searched the bus and arrested him with 22 lakh 46 thousand Indian rupees and 3,000 American dollars.
A case was filed in Benapole Port Police Station against the arrested accused
