Malaysian High commissioner to Bangladesh Amir Farid Abu Hasan called on Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation AJM Nasiruddin at latter’s office here, reports BSS.
During the meeting that took place on Wednesday, they discussed health, education, tourism and cultural sectors of the both countries, said a press release.
City Mayor thanked the Malaysian envoy for visiting his office. The visiting diplomat said Bangladesh is a real friend of Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur is keen to develop the socio-economic conditions of the country.
The city mayor requested Malaysia to invest in city development projects, tourism sector and power sector at a large scale. Chief executive officer of CCC Mohammd Shamsudoha, Personal Secretary of Mayor Abul Hashem, city planner Rezaul Karim and vice chairman of PHP Group Mohammad Mohsin were present during meet. City Mayor presented a crest on behalf of the corporation to Malaysian diplomat, said the press release.
