Maj Gen Shakil Ahmed has been made new Director General (DG) of the Department of Immigration and Passport. Public Administration Ministry issued an order, signed by deputy secretary Muhammad Abdul Latif, in this regard on Thursday. The government transferred the responsibility to Public Security Division under Ministry of Home Affairs.
Maj Gen Shakil Ahmed will be replaced Maj Gen Md Sohail Hossain Khan who has been made chairman of Bangladesh Tea Board. Besides, Major General Md Jahangir Alam Al Mustahidur Rahman has reinstated to the Bangladesh Army.
