Bangladesh Metrological Department on Sunday predicted that light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country, reports BSS. 

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur division; at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions; and at one or two places over Khulna, Rajshahi and Barishal divisions with moderately falls at isolated places over the country,” said a press release.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the release added.

As an outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that the rainfall activity may increase further.

Maximum temperature was recorded on Saturday 36.2 degree Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded 25.7 degree Celsius at Teknaf in Chattogram division.

Maximum rainfall was recorded 20 millimeters (mm) at Barishal’s Khepupara in 24 hours till 6am on Sunday.

The sun sets at 6.36 pm on Sunday and rises at 5.32 am today (Monday) in the capital.
