LankaBangla distributes wheelchairs among marginalized

As part of its commitment to the society, LankaBangla Finance has distributed wheelchairs among the marginalized paralyzed people in Dinajpur. The act of handing over wheelchair to 100 financially challenged paralyzed people will help them get back to a better normal life. 

These wheelchairs are expected to bring mobility in activities of the deprived people, bring financial prosperity and most importantly bring back smile on the faces of their families, said a press release.

Md. Mahmudul Alam, deputy commissioner, Dinajpur was present as the chief guest at the ‘Wheelchair distribution’ event. Md. Joynul Abedin, additional deputy commissioner (overall), Dinajpur attended the event as the special guest.

Khaja Shahriar, managing director and CEO, LankaBangla Finance; Mohammad Hafiz Al Ahad, head of Human Resources, Muhammad Habib Haider, head of General Infrastructure & Services (GIS), Md. Jahangir Hossain, head of Alternative Delivery Channels (ADC) and Md. Mazharul Islam, head of Branch, Dinajpur along with other colleagues were present at the event. The main coordinator of the ‘Wheelchair distribution’ event Fazle Rabbi was also present. 

About the initiative, Khwaja Shahriar said, “Every now and then we see paralyzed people around us. Many of them are so helpless that they need support from all of us. We should collectively come forward and do whatever we can for their welfare. The objective of LankaBangla Foundation’s recent initiative was to support them to bring their lives back to a better state so that they can move forward in their lives and pursue a better life.”

LankaBangla Foundation has undertaken this sturdy project in hope of bringing ease & mobility into the lives of the deprived paralyzed people.
