Country Director of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Kim Taeyoung called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Wednesday at the latter’s office of the university.
Vice-Chairman of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Center (ICE) of DU Emeritus Professor Dr. Khondoker Bazlul Hoque and Executive Director of ICE Associate Prof. Md. Rashedur Rahman were, among others, present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest especially regarding overall development and progress of ongoing pilot project titled “Capacity Building of Universities in Bangladesh to Promote Youth Entrepreneurship” at Dhaka University. It may be mentioned that this project is being implemented with the financial assistance from KOICA to promote education and research as well as innovative skills.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the KOICA Country Director for providing support and cooperation to implement the pilot project at DU. This project will produce skilled entrepreneurs in the country and Dhaka University will play the leading role in this regard, he hoped.
