Teachers, officials and employees of Khulna Agricultural University (KAU) have donated over Taka 3.27 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund to help the government tackle the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, reports BSS.
Vice-chancellor of KAU Professor Dr. Shahidur Rahman Khan and Registrar (Acting) Dr. Khondkar Mazharul Anwar handed over the cheque for the amount to Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus on Sunday, said a press release.
The amount consists of one-day salary of the university teachers, officers and employees and the university fund to help the government fight the deadly coronavirus in the country, release added.
