JS body recommends inspection of Rohingya camps

The parliamentary standing committee on ministry of disaster management and relief on Sunday recommended inspection of the Cox’s bazar Rohingya camps to know their actual state, as soon as possible, reports BSS. The committee chairman A B Tajul Islam presided over by the meeting. Members of the committee state minister of Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman, Panchanan Bishwas, Md Aftab Uddin Sorkar, Mir Mostak Ahmed Robi, Jewel Areng, Majibur Rahman Chowdhury, Masud Uddin Chowdhury, and Kazi Kaniz Sultana, were present, at the meeting.

At the meeting, the committee placed recommendations on inspection of the Rohingya camp in cox’s bazar to expedite the repatriation and rehabilitation progress by knowing their actual state of living. Also, a discussion was held regarding the preventive measures against fire accidents, risks of flood, thunder and cyclone. Secretary of Disaster Management and Relief ministry and senior officials of the respective departments of Jatiya Sandsad Secretariat were present at the meeting.
