Leaders of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mazar at Tungipara in Goplaganj on Tuesday morning on the occasion of his 44th martyrdom anniversary, reports BSS.

After laying the wreath, they stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the architect of the independence, who was brutally killed by some disgruntled army men on the dreadful night of August 15, 1975 along with most of his family members.

The JPC leaders led by its president Saiful Alam also offered fateha and doa at Bangabandhu’s mazar, seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members.

Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), the national news agency of Bangladesh, Abul Kalam Azad, JPC General Secretary Farida Yasmin, Vice-President Azizul Islam Bhuiyan, Joint-General Secretary Mainul Alam and Managing Committee Member Rezanul Haque Raza, among others, were present.
