Journos, leaders pay tributes to Bangabandhu at Tungipara

Senior journalists and different journalist organizations on Saturday paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths on his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), the National News Agency of Bangladesh, Abul Kalam Azad paid rich tributes by placing wreaths on the mausoleum of Bangabandhu.

He stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation.

Later, he offered doa seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975.

Earlier, Abul Kalam Azad along with the former leaders of BFUJ-Bangladesh

Federal Union Journalists and Dhaka Union of Journalists paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's mausoleum with flowers.

Former media advisor to the Prime Minister Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, former President of BFUJ Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, daily Jugantar Editor Saiful Alam, Shahjahan Mia and Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan, among others, were present.

Leaders of BFUJ-Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists led by its president Omar Faruque and secretary general Dip Azad paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum.

Its Vice President Dr. Utpal Sarker, Office Secretary Sebika Rani and Member Noor-e-Jannat Sima, among others, were also present.

National Press Club paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum.

National Press Club President Farida Yasmin, Joint General Secretary Moinul Alam, Treasurer Sahed Chowdhury along with Press Club executive committee members and journalists were present.

Leaders of Dhaka Union of Journalists led by its President Sohel Haider Chowdhury and General Secretary Aktar Hossain paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at the mausoleum.

Besides, Bangladesh Women Journalists' Center, Cumilla Journalists' Forum, Greater Brahmanbaria and Chandpur Journalists' Forum, Dhaka Journalists' Family Multipurpose Cooperative Society paid rich tributes to Father of the

Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths here.
