The final of the 'Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football Tournament' (BGCFT)( under-17 ) was held at the playground of Government Shara Marowary School and College in Ishwardi on Sunday.
Ishwardi Municipal Ekadah defeated Salimpur Union Ekadash by 3-0 goal at the final of the tournament.
However, Ishwardi Upazila administration with the help of Youth and Sports Ministry organised the tournament.
Event organisers said this tournament has started with seven union and a municipal, a total of 8 team.
On last Thursday, the tournament was inaugurated. The participants of the team are Shara, Pakshi, Salimptr, Lakhikunda, Dashuria, Shahapur, Muladoli Union Ekadash and Ishwardi Municipal Ekadash.
Upazila chairman Nurujjaman Biswas speaks at the prize distribution programme as a chief guest. UNO Ahammad Hossain Bhyian presided over the programme. At that time, Municipal Mayor Abul Kalam Azad, Upazila Vice-chairman Abdus Salam Khan, Atia Ferdous Kakoli, Upazila secondary education officer Selim Akhter, Primary education officer Mrinal Kanti Sarker along with others were also present at the programme.
