The Bangladesh cricket team returned to the country on Sunday after Bangladesh's tour of New Zealand. However, after the rest of the cricketers returned home from the airport, Mustafizur Rahman stayed as he had a flight to catch for India to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Rajasthan Royals.

Mustafiz wanted everyone’s blessings after reaching India. The ‘Cutter Master’ wrote in the caption by posting a picture of his in his verified Facebook page, Landed in India safely and mission IPL starts with Rajasthan Royals.

Keep me in your prayers. The 14th edition of IPL is starting on April 9. Among the Bangladeshis, Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman is going to take part in the tourney. Shakib will play for Kolkata Knight Riders, while Mustafiz will play for Rajasthan Royals.

Rajasthan Royals will play their first match on April 12. Mustafiz did not leave the airport even though he returned to the country was mainly due to the Covid-19 protocol. He has decided to board a direct flight to India.

Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Mustafiz in the IPL 2016 auction. In his first season, Fizz announced his arrival with staggering 17 wickets from 16 matches and became the best rising star of IPL.

However, due to injury he was able to play only 1 match next season. He was then bought by Mumbai Indians in 2018, where he scalped 7 wickets from 7 matches. However, Rajasthan may not get him in the first two matches due to quarantine protocol. Rajasthan Royals will play their first match against Punjab Kings in Mumbai.
