A two-day Insurance industry fair titled " The Bima Mela 2022" was held at the Barishal district from Thursday to Friday.
Visitors were thrilled to Participate in the wide selection of games and activities all day long, arranged by the stalls of 81non life and life insurance companies.
The insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) launched the event along with participating companies with a grand opening ceremony.
The event took place at the Bangabandhu Park, in Barishal city ,hosted by the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) in collaboration with Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA) and Bangladesh Insurance Forum (BIF).
The finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal attended the event as its chief guest according to a press release.
Chairman of IDRA Mohammad Zainul Bari, Secretary of the Financial institutions Division, ministry of finance Mohammad Saleem Ullah , and President of BIA Sheikh Kabir Hossain were present on the occasion as the guests of honour.
The program was organised aiming to strengthen the bondage between the customers and the companies to promote awareness and showcase the innovative insurancesolution amongst the residents of Barishal and it’s periphery.
The most innovative way to serve and interact with customer was showcased by Rupali Insurance Company Limited who offered free instant medical tests and virtual foreign doctors consultation as a part of their efforts to promote their brand new product named Digital OPD.
Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Saiful Islam attended the closing ceremony of the fair as Special Guest.
While visiting stall of Rupali Insurance, Mr Islam was briefed about the "Rupali Shastho Seba" a digital OPD product of the company.
Saiful Islam, expressing his views , praised the features of the product and saying that the Rupali's Digital OPD product will help people get rid of suffering in availing specialised Doctor's Consultation from home and abroad as this is easy and charges is also very reasonable.
The stall was recognized as the best amongst all other non-life insurance companies by the judges of Bima Mela 2022 in light of their popularity in stalls, service to the visitors, aesthetics and engagements with local populace of Barishal.
In their thanks giving speech it was conveyed that the product would be providing 1 year virtual medical multiple consultations by the forigen doctors (Indian) for two people with added benefits to it’s clients at a cost of only 1150/= BDT per policy.
